Monday November 7th is Research Australia's Thank You Day. The day is a national celebration of how health and medical research makes a difference to all our lives and encourages the public to send messages of appreciation and encouragement to the health and medical researchers.

Following the death of his young son from meningococcal disease, Chartered Institute Treasurer Michael Sanig and his family started the Stephen Sanig Foundation which supports education and research into meningococcal disease.
